Damn what a breathtaking episode! Nicholas and Vash make a great team when the situation calls for it, even if they bump heads more often than not.

Jack • 1 year ago

When they actually think, nothing seems impossible lol even a planet destroyer aka Cannon.

vovan1 • 1 year ago

lifting n tons ion cannon, is no problem is you got enough guts xD

Reemus • 1 year ago

Absolutely, hard to explain in simple terms but everything they have done with those episodes makes them incredibly impactful and astonishing. The seamless 3D was certainly a good choice for this series.

I don't know the originals, in terms of how intense an episode can be, I am willing to bet that the originals have nothing on this adaptation.

Snorlax • 1 year ago

They just have a different approach to things completely. This one goes full serious and dramatic action with the occasional chuckle, the original is more of a goofy comedy, cutting back to the more serious plot behind when it was time.

Most of the characters are changed a ton, namely Vash was a knucklehead 80% of the time and a cool gunman the rest, but it always shows in subtle ways that he has a dark past and things that get to him. One thing I noticed in the opening is the line "I'm not the same person anymore" and I feel like Orange is playing off that people were expecting the more happy - go-lucky Vash, but with the intensity of heavy action that facade is stripped away and we're left with his underlying sadness. I haven't read the manga (and it surprised me that a lot of the old anime was filler, since for me it was really good), but it apparently matches Stampede's serious tone more.

In short, they're both good; This one's growing on me more and the old one might not be your favorite if you like this more gritty tone.

Billy Bob • 1 year ago

anime OG right here - I laughed a lot during the original

Chris Rose • 1 year ago

You would be very surprised in that case. The earlier episodes are fun and goofy but toward the middle and end is just astonishing.

JimBean • 1 year ago

Yes the original, was original. They also lacked easy access to people progromed by chinese AI. (tiktok) There's no comparison.

This is truly a 21st century "anime", Breathtaking is the word.

RIP little brother (for now I believe...), create another eye=take out a bug from your mouth XD. I new "The plant was gonna be either an android or a life being, well it's probably both lol.

Reemus • 1 year ago

Possibly plants were on that ship that Vash's brother crashed. So everyone is using Vash's brethren as power sources.

vovan1 • 1 year ago

That explains a lot.
Who needs solar power if you can use people instead x)

Reemus • 1 year ago

They are not just people, they are some sort of engineered super-humans, but the details are still a mystery.

broodo aka Dorian Brooks • 1 year ago

Engineered extra-dimensional drone/hive-mind being that can pretty much create whatever you need them to at the cost of their life force/essence.

james trenton • 1 year ago

i thought they were aliens

Porthya • 1 year ago

Nah, they are man-made, that's why the "next gen" have humanoid forms. It's like all those sci-fi's arguing that playing god with AI is bad cause cyborgs/androids etc will "bite" back, only these plants are a whole new other level of "organic".

Neko-senpai • 1 year ago

they are extra dimensional being enable to create water, energy and other terraforming materials. they say humans invented them, but I doubt it. more like humans discovers them. but it is still a mystery because not so much known about them in the manga

Thank heavens, everyone was saved and the only thing keeping Wolfwood sane as well! It's been so long since I've actually prayed for an anime character XD
Aside from that WOW VASH IS A PLANTTT
So excited for the next episode where hopefully more of his past is revealed!

Oh what a twist. Vash is a plant. /s

JimBean • 1 year ago

pop quiz hot shot. There's a sand steamer heading towards an orphanage full of puppies too. what do you do? cut the blue wire? or the red wire?

....... (ง˙o˙)ว • 1 year ago

Neither! A sand steamer that doesn't explode is a cheap gold watch.

Cesar Febres • 6 months ago

If only disney made shit half as good as this, you can go back to your og trigun if you want but this remake is fire.

Mycroft • 1 year ago

The after credits art is inspired from the original Trigun series, looking at Vash hairstyle though.

Mycroft • 1 year ago

Ohhhhh yeahh the secret of Vash finally unveiled.

Enve Me • 1 year ago

think they are doing a good job with this remake...... this isnt a remaster for those who expected the original with better graphics...... the original anime was slap happy fun action comedy type....... the people suffered but you never really felt it the same way this show actually depicts it....the villain's didnt really have any back story except knives.... the only thing about this show that needs to change is Vash's uselessness......... although he would get depressed sometimes and question himself or lose motivation it was short lived..... Vash was an expert gunslinger and was far from useless..... He wanted to stop the ship he would do it not sit around like a deer in headlights..... and he would shoot people..... just wouldnt kill them

SenicAsianRoute • 1 year ago

Enough of that useless argument people keep saying that a character that does not pull victory out their ass is a useless character

Enve Me • 1 year ago

i dont think so and that wasnt the point i was trying to make....... idk if you watched the first one but you can clearly see the personality differences between the Vashs'..... in the first eps of this he portrayed like the og anime...... we havent seen him like that since...... his upbeat kinda corny even when things were troubling him style made his character..... and although he was a goofball he was no joke when the time came to stop the bad guy without killing them..... and he would shoot people....he wasnt afraid to use his gun sht he wasnt afraid at all till close to the end..... it seems like he is scared shtless to make a move since ep4..... its constructive criticism as overall i think this show displays the harshness of this world alot better

an • 1 year ago

I've been reading the manga and he isn't as much as goofy as you thought he is, that's all the fillers of the 98 anime. Fillers in animes are supposed to be goofy anyway. In the sandsteamer part of the manga he shot a bad land gang member but helped him after because he bled too much lmao. This one's closer to the manga albeit feeling rushed and compressed.

Porthya • 1 year ago

He(Vash) is still goofy/sappy, it's just that the entire story's overall tone has turned grimmer much earlier. The MC himself still aims to protect everyone and harsh choices hit him like the angel-arm beam hit that one moon.
And he still reacts joyfully to Nicholas' quite serious threat.

an • 1 year ago

Doesn't that mean I'm kinda right that he's not all goofy most of the time compared to the 98 anime? He still is but those parts aren't very prolific unlike the filler episodes.
